It’s been a while since things were updated on the homepage regarding what’s going on with the rally car. The cage is literally one bar from being completed (harness bar), everything else is in and being finished up! Ill be getting some newer pictures very soon and will do another update. On to the newest pictures I do have!

Here’s some of the previous work, and pictures from the Members Journal thread in the discussion forums. We’ve come a long way!

Transmission / Driveshaft was pulled, to make grinding the underside of the unibody easier on the seams. These have all been seam welded. I also went back and removed all the OEM brake lines, master cylinder, and wiring from the engine bay.

Not pictured… the work we actually did getting the glue out of the seams! Spent quite a bit of time on it! Albert (worldrallyblue) wanted to get a piece of the action too so he came down to the shop and got on it a bit too. So stoked he was able to man the grinding wheel for a bit. What we weren’t able to finish that day, I came back next week and grinded on even more. From what Kyle told me it still wasn’t enough, things were exploding out on him as he welded. Sorry!

At this point most of the door bars and A pillar support beams are only tacked in place. These have been fully welded since these pictures were taken. Stay tuned for another update!
