Since the rallyx event got canceled over the weekend, I took Kyle up on the offer to come down to the shop instead of going and playing in the dirt somewhere else. I’m glad I did because we need to get the ball rolling on this damn car! Time well spent. Oh i found WAY more change in this car than i did in the last one. Probably about 4 bucks worth of change. stoked. I was able to get Kyle a “Baconator” at Wendy’s… hell yeah.

Once again at Placar / Jackson Rally…

Watchout for these bastards living in / under your car (well after sitting around in the yard for several months). This guy was already doused in brake cleaner and set on fire.

Some of the stuff I got done that day… stripped the inside of the car (two trips to the store to get dry ice) with lots of help from the local shop grom, sorry! i can’t remember his name right now!!! He was attacking the rear dash and wheel wells while I went to town on the floorboards and transmission tunnel. Pulled out those headlights, grille, bumper and front fenders. Fenders are harder to remove when they’re smashed in.

All of this looks REAL familiar doesn’t it? Lame.... oh well its a step in the right direction. Going to have to go back and really attack the spots on the chassis where the plates are going to weld in, removing all the seam gunk. Kyle should be ordering the raw material for the cage hopefully around the end of the week. Stay tuned for more updates!
