After an unsuccessful Rally West Virginia, Revolutionary Sports Team’s driver Sam Albert and codriver George Loef will be competing at Black River Stages in a bid to finish their first stage rally since the team’s debut at Sandblast 2010 where Albert placed 5th overall.
The team’s car, a 2004 Subaru STi prepared for open class competition, overheated at Rally West Virginia and eventually spun a bearing. This put the team out just on the second stage of the Rally. The team has been plagued with a series of DNF’s in the last year having cracked a short block at Black River Stages last year and breaking a coilover at Rally de Charlevoix a month later. Their only recent success was a 2nd place overall finish at the Hyperfest Rally Sprint at Summit Point, WV in June.
“We just need to get the car sorted,” said driver Sam Albert. “Some mistakes were made in the past but we’ve learned from them. Once we get it all figured out, we should have a great car.”
The team recently installed a new short block and is currently testing the new set up to make sure everything will be good to go for Black River Stages.
Revolutionary Sports would like to thank Valkyrie Motorsports and Big Boulder PARK for their continued support.
