Mads Ostberg and his Swedish co-driver, Jonas Andersson in his Subaru Impreza WRC won the final round of Norwegian championship “Rally Hedemarken” which was taken place on 26 September. After previous round had been halted due to tragic accident, Ostberg already secured his third consecutive Norwegian title before today’s final round.
Rally Hedemarken was based around Brumunddal with four gravel stages which were run two times. The event saw the beautiful autumn weather while stage condition as very rough, especially second time through.
Ostberg won this Rally to end with 3 minutes and 34 seconds margin of Sveinung Bieltvedt who had a great ending to his season. With his Subaru Impreza he drove to the win in the class for standard cars, the group N. For Group N title came to Andreas Mikkelsen, even before today’s race and did not start on Hedemarken.
This Rally Hedemarken was also last round of Subaru Cup 2009. Anders Kjar won this event, also finished this rally in 6th overall and 4th in Group N.
By this result In the Subaru Cup 2009, the top 5 is ; Andreas Mikkelsen, Pontus Tidemand, Jerker Axelsson, Trond Svenkerud, Thomas Kvam. As a conclusion for the first year of the Subaru Cup in Norway, it has been a success, especially because the cars have been very reliable and very quick.
