The fourth round of Russian rally championship, “South Ural” was held from 7-8 August and finished with the triumph of the driver for Uspensky Rally Technica(URT), Swede Patrik Flodin in Subaru Impreza WRX STI. After winning all stages except SS1, Flodin gain not only overall victory of the event, but also, with its fourth straight victory of the season, secured the title by many of the Russian master, even though two races still remaining. And thus also historic! No non-Russian citizen has previously won the title Russian Champion!

“I am very happy. I am grateful to the team, which has built such a beautiful car.” said Flodin after finish.
After four consecutive stage wins, even it was final test, Flodin won the stage 50 seconds quicker Gavrilov who set second fastest time. Eventually Flodin dominated the rally with over 3 minutes gap to nearest rival.

Next event of Russian rally champion, round five “Gukovo Rally” will be taken place from 4-5 September.
