Good find, I see he is on the entry list for Sno-Drift. Must have been doing some testing...

I had the chance to chat with Dave at the Subaru Super Special Stage during the '08 STPR. Great guy to talk to and VERY excited to be a part of the rally experience. He was totally into shooting the sh!t with another Subaru driver and didn't try to blow me off because I wasn't cool or famous. I asked him what he thought of going from his 2.5 N/A car to Ken's old car & running forced induction. He couldn't get over the difference and his favorite word was "knarly" the entire time! He's lived in Cali for WAY too long! I can't wait to catch up with him again this year as well...

I'm aware he grew up an East Coast-er. I thought he lived out in Cali for a short time during the early years of his pro career?

Both Mirras grew up in New York. Dave followed his brother to Greenville in the mid '90s after almost being killed by a drunk driver, but he'd have been almost 20 by then. He never lived out here, but hanging around with "extreme" folk, it wouldn't be a surprise to pick up some of the slang ("gnarly" btw ).

His place in Greenville is amazing apparently, all sorts of awesome courses in his backyard.
