Default Valkyrie Motorsports: $75 flocked dashes!

what up guys,

Flocked dashes from Valkyrie Motorsports are now only $75! We recently have been able to cut some cost in our flocking procedures, so now we can forward the savings onto anyone who is interested! Other colors besides black are also available. Just ask!

What does $75 get you?
  • Dissassemble your dash (if needed)
  • Inspect and clean all associated parts
  • Repair surface (if needed)
  • Masking
  • SPRAY application of adhesive
  • Electrostatic application of fibers
  • 1 Day curing period
  • Final inspection, Cleaning and packaging for shipping
  • Extra interior parts are $10 per part
Need I say more? I dare you to find someone that does this cheaper, and if they do, not only will we meet the price, but beat it.

come get 'em!

I do and i'm finding myself with limited amounts of time to do it. How do you guys handle shipping back and forth to customers with such large items?

all shipped dash's have custom boxes that allows us to ship via UPS. We hand pack each dash, wrapping in bubble wrap, and we also pack the cavities with news paper to make sure it doesn get crushed.

What dash do you have? We may be able to do a core exchange so that your downtime is minimized.

Get in touch with me directly at Dylan@ValkyrieMotorsports.com

thanks!

nice! I might want to re-flock my dash....do you know if you can you flock over flocking? Does it looks like ass-monkeys? Should I just take a sander to it first?

And having done this myself once....$75 is a DEAL to have some one else do it. Its messy, and bare materials alone are $25+shipping.

Thanks!

As far as re-flocking, you might consider using a appropriate thinner to see if you can remove the adhesive under the fibers. I personally have never tried this, but in theory if you use say, mineral spirits and rub the feck out of it, it may come off to the point that you can re-prep the surface and start fresh Regardless, I have seen a picture on here where someone flocked over a faded flock surface and it looked like new, but honestly, spraying an adhesive on a furry surace gives me the heebygeebies

EDIT: courtesy of Mconte05

original flock on left, double flokzor'd on the right

The purpose of flocking is more or less to stop the sun/light from glaring off the dash of your cars vinyl dash surface and blinding you while competing. Flocking gives the surface a fuzzy, velvet-like appearance and feel which cuts the chance of that happening.

As far as benefits, It all depends what your using it for. Aesthetically, the flock is very appeasing to the eyes, I have shown some samples to customers that dont even race, and most all have said it was something they would like to have in their normal vehicles. It is also a great alternative to interior damage, or flaws that you would like to cover up. I personally feel like when done correctly, it gives a more luxury feel to an interior that is drowning in a sea of pleather vinyl. It is as close to velvet as you can get!

If I ever swap my tan interior I may look into this. Sounds like a killer deal!

We'll be glad to help you when you are ready! This price point is $90 cheaper than some of our competitors within the motorsports industry for this service! Im sick of seeing people get scammed! Its about time someone steps up and gets some deals out there.

This is also a good post to add something I forgot in the OP. We offer flocking for any additional interior part for an extra $10 per part. That includes gauge surrounds, consoles, anything you can dream up really.

You should market your flocking to xt6/svx enthusiasts who are into restoring, as these cars came with furry dash and interior panels.
