I think we passed you on the way home too. We actually saw several people, Jack towing the SRT, Kat, Walter, the fabtec chevy... we were kind of in a rush because my friend needed to be back for a dinner shindig. I was very sorry I didn't stick around to help with cones, i would have! I paid my dues working the course in the first run group when we had all the timing problems, burning up in the heat.

I got some really fun onboard video from the event, ill post up some stuff as soon as i have time but it probably wont be for a bit since I am going out of town on Friday. Thank you Krystal for doing some filming, i have yet to check out the footage!

Here are some snapshots i took just around basecamp. There really was no way for my to get action photos of subies because all the 4WD people drove at the same time! Hopefully Dave will get the pictures his wife took up online soon, im anxious to see em since they were right at that 180 turn on the big course (which everyone was hauling ass into, i distinctly remember being well into 3rd gear coming into that).

Brian put down some amazing times, especially on the big course. I thought he was going to break into the 99's!

Camera reminds me of a refuling probe on an A-6 Intruder...

Thats more like it huh!

Running two types of classes with different rules (SCCA vs CRS) was very interesting. It didnt really matter to me in that i'm not competiting for CRS series points, but i was weird that people who were usually in R4 with rally tires were in the same competition with SM4 people because the SCCA Prepared All Wheel Drive (PA) class allows rally tires! That put guys like Lminette in a weird spot where he has to choose between going for SCCA contingency money, or staying legal for his SM4 points in CRS. I was pleasantly surprised that i could keep up with some of the guys with rally tires when all i had were weaksauce BFG super sport T/A's. Odi was telling me that there really wasn't a huge advantage with rally tires since the surface was so hard packed. I think he tore up his front two tires pretty good.

Stoked to have gotten 2nd, I'm sending in my paperwork today which just about covers the cost of gas / food / event entry fees. LOL yay Subaru!

All in all a good day. It was great to see everyone out there, but i do miss the added competition with rollo and UP2MTNS. Louie and Dave always give me a run for mah money...
