Well I'm new to DI and I guess Arizona. I attend college in Prescott at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University but am originally from Pennsylvania. It is my second year out here, first with the Subaru. I have a stock, and by stock... I mean beat, '98 Outback Sport. It is used to fields, state forest roads, trails, and mud. I just drove up Perkinsville Road in Chino the whole way to Williams by accident... Beautiful scenery up through the National Forests. I am looking forward to some gtg's or drives.

I am glad I found this site, lots of useful information. I am hoping to watch the Prescott Rally. For some reason I missed it last year. I may have been working at FIR or PIR (I used to be a corner worker...).

Haha, I do what I can... my car isn't quite the best to look at. It has more dents than I can count, even some on the roof... The suspension is gone. Getting a few feet of air a couple times a day and blasting through fields and what not does it. I'm hoping to replace it with the Forester struts and springs and then add a bigger sway bar in the back to help reduce the body roll. A skidplate would also be good... my exhaust, uh, ... fell off... the other day right behind the cat and had to get it welded up again. I think my car hates me.
If anyone wants to help fund my project they can by my MR2 that is in Pennsylvania... haha.

It's not that bad. There is a horrible guy to girl ratio here but I don't really need any distractions. I am starting to fly through a local FBO instead of Riddle. I am slightly frustrated with their flight program right now and I believe I am not alone. Oh well, glad to be back overall.

Ha! I think we had 7 girls in a class of 58... then again we weren't the only department (not like we had any time to be spending time away from the department anyways  ) I'm surprised to hear that about their flight program. It sounds like every program has their dissapointments. I went to the University of Washington; there were a lot of dissapointing things about the program, but a few more that really made up for it (wind tunnel experience and our capstone course)
What's this about getting a few feet of air all the time in the OBS? Are you trying to log extra hours towards your solo?

Haha. I lived about 15 miles outside of town and there was a few roads that had "whoops" like a dirtbike track... and you could grab a few inches here and there... 10 times one way to town. Haha.
Then out by my old girlfriends house there was this wooden bridge about 10 feet long. Well you go shooting down this hill and at the bottom there is a swift 60 or 70 degree right turn, usually taken sideways of some sort. About 50 yards after the turn there was the bridge. It rose pretty steep, and then dropped off on the other side. At about 25 or 30mph you could flex out your suspension and get that little feeling in your stomach that I'm sure most of you know. Well... at about 70mph+ you tend to launch the car a good foot or two in the air, land on the wooden part (I almost cleared the whole bridge once) and then rocket off the other side and proceed to get another 8inches or so of air. Really fun, not recommended... One day my friend fell asleep with the passenger seat reclined so I reached over and undid his seatbelt and hit it, he was pretty surprised but he was familiar with the area.

I'm from the Williamsport area... roughly an hour away. I missed STPR the past two years but I've been there a few times.
