Hello everybody! I came across the Dirty Impreza myspace page and started watching the videos and was amazed! People with nice subies that arnt afraid to rally them. Its so refreshing after spending time on NASIOC.

Anyways I just picked up a 2000 RS BRP sedan with 106,000 miles. Previous owner installed SPT lowering springs which are going to be swapped out for either stock or OBS springs after an autocross in october. Need as much clearance as possible for the rocky Tahoe back roads.

yeahhhhhhhhhhhh.....Tahooooooooooooooooe!!

Hey man, I'm in the city, but I'm up there all the time. My little bro lives in truckee.

Does any one do snow rally crosses up there? I heard they do an autocross in Squaw's parking lot once a year, I wonder if they'd do a snow-cross before the ski season started up...

Welcome to the forums, glad you found the myspace page... i update it frequently! Thats a nice looking RS you have there. It really is pretty low with those springs on there! Keep an eye on the Project RS (http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/projectrs/) as im sure it will interest you :)

Every year the Reno SCCA has an event at the Squaw parking lot but sadly no rally cross events. Any day that the snow is crap on the mountain, my friends and I just hit up the parking lots and drift for hours. We've even setup cones before in the Alpine meadows parking lot but my friend in his Jeep Cherokee just destroys them.

HAhah and sorry for the excessively clean pictures. I promise dirty ones in the future.

I read through the whole Project RS thread last night and was amazed. What an awesome project!

Its a work in progress... theres lots of stuff that needs to be prep'd before this car gets into anything crazy (i cant wait!).

I snowboard about once a week when theres snow, and love driving in the snow, but its rare when i actually get to drive in a lot of it around here (southern california) but that is one thing we dont have around here... BIG open parking lots with snow. Everything is tight and compact in big bear. I would love to play around in a big parking lot for hours with snow everywhere!

Lucky! [/napolean dynamite voice]

You should take her out to the Thundercross rallyx events in Thunderhill. Even with it lowered it'll be ok.

I'd love too! When is the next event? BTW I'm returning to stock height mid October after the last Reno SCCA event of the season.

Next thundercross event is the 22nd of this month, which is 2 saturdays from now. Hope to see ya there, I can even hook ya up with a DI sticker that I have as a spare.

Thats whats im talkin about... nothing but love in the DI community. For sure conepirate puts on a good event at thunderhill, it would be a great one to attend.

I'll definitely try to go down there for the event, but I love my subie to much to rallyx her on lowering springs!

I've never been to a rallyx event before, so I'd kinda like to see what its all about.

If the course is similar to how Geoff had it last time you can run with around a 2" drop on our cars and still be fine. In fact I was wishing I hadn't raised my ride height for the event, but it's too much trouble to always be adjusting my coilovers.
