So if our little Gorman DI weekend happens, I'd really like to do this TSD (time-Speed-Distance) road rally:

http://ffn.smscc.org/

This is a navigational rally, and I'd want to co-drive. I need the practice for an endurance TSD I'm doing in February (www.alcan5000.com)

If anyone's interested, please let me know, I can't do this w/o a driver. We could use your car, or I'd let you drive my car.

This looks like it could be a lot of fun. If you wouldn't mind having a rank amatuer as a driver I'd be down!

This plus Gorman all in one weekend = waaaay too much fun to be legal.

cool, you got first dibs....so it all you, just don't flake ;)

per the instructions, the thing stars around 7:30....so plan on meeting me there. I'll be coming from NorCal, so I'll probably come straight down.

lets chat more later, but I'm psyched!

grab a co driver and join us......afterwards, I'll be heading up to Gorman, setting up camp (if I haven't already) and kickin' it with some beers and a fire and some food.

So this is October 5th you're planning on attending? (First Friday of each month)

Just finished reading over their website. Sounds like the co-driver is the guy who really wins this race.

Too bad you get put into Expert class as soon as you start using cumulative calculators. OBDII port + real-time logging = perfect CAST.

yup

I've seen quite a few TSD's like this....most of the 'real' ones around here are in the North West (Oregon/Washington)...and they class you by how you do your calcs/distances. So you may be a professional TSD co-driver...but if you're using a pad/pencil/calculator, that's the class you're in.

check out www.alcan5000.com That's the TSD I'm 'training' for......its gonna be sick  I'll start a thread on that eventually.
