Ok so I have sent the new fenders back to the subie parts house twice now because they sent me the 2002 wrx front fenders when I ordered the 2005 STI front fenders. I have an 02 WRX but I am having the 05 STI fenders custom cut and installed to fit my 02. Now the reason im doing this is so I can have the extra 15 milimeter flare of the STI. Now again heres the million dollar question which I believe I am correct about. I am positive that the 04 and on STI does indeed have an extra 15 milimeters of flare on the front fenders whereas the WRX doesnt have the extra flare. Can someone confirm this for me so I can call the guy back and call him a moron that should not be working for Subaru?

And in case anyone cares, I am also replacing the fenders due to a pretty gnarly rollover a few months back...but hey what can I say? I was doing what any Good Subaru owner should have been doing and I got a little crazy on a dirt road...In the end, Id do it again because before I rolled I had an awesome run almost all the way from the mountains to town and didnt roll till I was almost off the dirt, hehe...

Heres what I know....I have a wagon...these fenders are different than the sedan/STI. I believe the STI/WRX sedan share the same fenders. But I don't know if the 04-up STI are a little wider than the previous years. Either way the idiot sending you these things should send you what you ordered!!

Yeah i think its irrlevant if there is a 15mm difference or not (although id like to know for sure...) YOU DIDNT ORDER 2002 WRX FENDERS! Have them send you the right effing year!

Get one of these custom made (like my homie Ben did to his STi before he sold it)

oh, for shizzle. at first, I thought he had one on each side and it fed down into the brakes for cooling. But an intake is cool too.

I have this thing called a fender roller. I can add about 3 in of wheel well, at the sake of pretty.

Fender rollers are so sweet! you can pick them up for about $200. I need to have someone roll mine.

When you ordered the parts, did they ask for your VIN? Sometimes they do that to confirm they are giving you the right parts, so maybe they think you meant to ask for 02 WRX fenders.

I know the last time i ordered something from subarugenuineparts.com they asked for my VIN number.

Indeed they did get the VIN...both times, and both times I sent back the 02 fenders and finally ended up just ordering the 05 sti fenders from whites mt. Subaru up in casper,no hassle and no BS. I just told the guy what I needed and he said theyd be right out. Im still under the understanding that they ARE wider than the regular 02 WRX ones...still havent really confirmed that...
