ok so i got a new clutch put in two weeks ago. after checking the trans dipstick today it showed no mark on it. not even a low reading!! i know they put some oil but they were in a hurry to get the car to me so they didn't wait for the oil to settle and check it again. do i just add some 75 90 to it till it marks full or whats the deal??? :shootsself: i checked for any leaks and none to be found!

yea just add till its at the full level. and make sure you are on a level surface. also make sure its synthetic oil.

Since it's a manual, the fluid level behaves like the oil in the engine. Just add until the level is correct on the dipstick. Then drive it and recheck the following day when cold.

Extra-S is probably the best for feel, but it doesn't seem to hold up under race use (Williaty and I both use Extra-S and drive hard, and we've both felt it going away at 15K.) So if you RallyX or AutoX a lot, Motul is a good choice as well.

Royal Purple will be fine. Yeah its kind of a guessing game. fill some check, and keep filling until its at the correct level. Remember, its easier to add more than take some out ;)

Typically the 5 speed takes about 3.5 qts to fill it. Now that is not an exact because it all depends of how much was drained.
