Hey all, just wanted to take a quick sec to say hello and do the whole meet and greet thing since I just discovered and registered here on the dirty forums. Just for the record and for future reference, Im the very proud owner of a black 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX but am in the middle of a partial "STI" conversion. I have done moderate body work including the STI side skirts, 05 STI front flared fenders, new 17" wheels and tires, the STI wing and a few other goodies. My performance mods include the complete AEM/DC sport turbo back exhaust including the catless up pipe and stainless steel turbo manifold. I am also running a K&N typhoon intake, a Turbo XS very large top mount intercooler with Apex'i boost regulater and blitz turbo timer. I will be going to missoula montana to have the JDM version 8 STI motor and also the STI 6 speed gearbox swapped in this coming month so Ill be sure to post often and let you all know of the progress and any bugs and issues that may(and likely will) arise. I did also invest in a full HID headlight conversion in case anyone cares. There are several other mods that I am too tired to mention at the moment but if your curious than feel free to post and ask about it...anyway, hello to all and as always...PEACE!! oh also I have pics and a video of my 02 WRX on the track running a 14.6 quarter mile on my myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/doncallionte

right click on the image, then "Properties", and copy the location of the image...
Or if you use mozilla, the is a selection for "Copy Image Location"
Then just paste it in a post...
EXAMPLE>....
I right clicked on sebhockeys' signature.... "Copy Image Location"
Then I type the tags and past the location:

Well I was doing what any good subie owner should and I missed a turn on a dirt road up in esterbrook wyoming due to lack of a co-driver lol  and a high rate of speed. As it turned out I slid a little too far and went sideways off an embankment and took out some ranchers fence as I rolled it one and a half times hehe...I feel like a moron but on the bright side I learned just a little bit more about driving on dirt that day :D

But again on the bright side I got most of the damage repaired already and even upgraded most of what I had before, like the hood for example, I had the stock one with the little 02 scoop before but after the crash I went with the seibon WRC style with the big STI scoop. Im working on finishing the body work now and even upgraded the fenders to the 05 STI fenders and had em custom fit and installed. Believe me, the car looked a lot worse before I half ways put it back together, had to replace the roof and the driver door along with glass and a new windshield for starters...oh well I guess, any crash that a subie can walk away from is a good one. only thing it hurt was the body!

thats amazing that it rolled 1.5 times and its still goin strong. Nice work on getting her back into shape!
I too am a firm believer that when things need to be repaired... that you should upgrade them!

Oh yeah for sure, I wasnt about to let a good Subaru lose to a stupid dirt road, the car even ran fine that night after I barely managed to push it back over on all four wheels cuz it was sittin sideways on the driver side, it stayed running through the whole incident and even all smashed up it drove just fine back to town the rest of the way although I took it pretty slow to be on the safe side, but there werent any funny noises and in the end it didnt even have to be realigned...I was a proud subie owner when the guys at the subaru dealership up in casper told me that...
