I've been wanting to go the past couple years but have always been busy during the race weekend. Well I just bought a two day pass so I'm excited. Anybody else going to the race?
Also for those who have been to the track where is the best place to watch the action from with just a general admission?

I went last year, but had really good seats, so I didn't walk around as much as I should have. There are a lot of good hillsides to hang out on, so I'd explore as much as you can the first day, then post up early for the race at the best spot. There are a lot of good corners, but 2, 5 or 9 are probably the best.
I'd also take a motorcycle if you can, otherwise traffic really sucks leaving.

did they require all cars to pay for parking last year? This year the only free parking is at CSUMB and then they shuttle people in. I'm parking at the track so nightmare or not I'll arrive early and leave...well whenever I can.

the shuttle is the killer. the last year I went; everyone left after the motoGP race and due to miscommunication or bad planning there was seriously a 2-3 hr. wait to get on the shuttle. it was super hot and people were passing out due to heat exhaustion as well.
park at the track if you can. they only allowed bikes and camp ground people in when i went last time.

Yeah I bought a two day parking pass. And I figured most people would leave after the MotoGP race so I may stick around for that AMA race.
