So I have had my struts on for about a month and have fiddled with settings to come up with 4.5 turns FFS for DD street and 5.25 turns for snow/washboard etc (though I haven't had much high speed gravel yet). I haven't paid any attention yet to tarmac race settings as I have 2 recent tickets and don't plan on being at the track.....
I notice quite a bit of understeer now. Though I haven't really changed settings front to back yet, I figured I would chime in here and ask what folks have done.
Only mods are D-Specs and rear shims.

Settings are specific to a given spring, strut, and chassis weight combination. You haven't given us nearly enough information.

Your settings shouldn't be much different between surfaces. Maybe 1/16"-1/8" turn between comfortable and raceable, but to be frank i just leave mine where i keep them for dd.

Sorry I should have been more specific.
What I meant by "Only mods are D-Specs and rear shims" was that I had only changed out struts, inferring that the height, weight, springs and associated suspension was stock.

When I used them to rally I had them set 3/4 from locked in the front and 1 full turn from tight in the rear. It worked well on the stages as well as rally crossing. I never went on the track with them so I guess I am not really helping you out.

Hey Marvin, what spring rates were you running with this setup?

I had Forester springs in the front and stocks in the rear. Yeah lo-budget baby. We put the Forester springs up front so that I had some clearance on some of the approach angles like at Rim of the World.
