Figured i would start my journal. I found this car on Craigslist for 14,000 and was able to talk the previous owner into letting me take it for 12,500.
The reason why it was cheap for an STi is because it is approaching the 100k mark. It has an APS exhaust and BOV. Other than that, its pretty much stock.
The goal is to have have RallyX worthy by the summer. As time and money comes, ill get Rally Armor mudflaps (black with the red logo) and a skid plate.
The ultimate goal in the future: i plan on gettin a new, regular WRX and keep it stock as a daily driver and convert the STi into more of a Rally machine...but that isnt gonna happen for a while. I know its nothing special right now, ill keep it updated as i work on it and would be happy to hear anyone's ideas or suggestions...

I think the area has to say a lot about the deal but thats a sweet pickup man :D
Good luck with everything, If it wasn't a 10+hour trip I'd definitely bring my car down to that area and have a nice romp in the mud with ya when I go visit the family in Mobile

Hey, man. Looking good. I haven't been on here in a few months, so this is the first time I have seen this. Hurry up and get some muddy flaps and a skid plate.

With a baby coming along in March and a probable deployment by the end of the year, I decided to trade the STi in for a WRX wagon.
It will be my practical family car for now and when i get back from my deployment i will get another STI.
I found this at a dealer down in florida, it has only 22k miles on it.
Im diggin the Limited edition trim leather and seat warmers even though it is tan, not my favorite interior color.
Im using the online advertisement pictures because my camera is busted. They will have to do for now:

So, just by the above pictures, i already knew there were mods. Wasnt until i drove it back home and took a closer look, there are a couple more mods i hadnt noticed. Here is a full list:
-STi TMIC
-IHI VF39 Turbo (04-06 STi turbo)
-APEXI Turbo timer
-Perrin Intake
-Borla Hush exhaust
-Forge BOV
-SPT front tower strut bar
-GReddy rear tower strut bar
-COBB stage 2 suspension kit which includes:
Front sway bar
Rear adjustable sway bar
Sport springs
Since this is DI, dont flame me, I know this car should be in NASIOC with it being lowered and all. Out of all the above mods, the springs will be the first to go. Im looking for stock wrx springs as you are reading this. The rest of the mods i can live with. I have been conservative with it for the time being because i want to take it in and make sure it is correctly tuned for the parts it has on the engine.
This is my long term family car and have no plans to rallyx it. The only future mod will be Mud flaps so it can have the Rally look. When i get another STI, then we will talk dirt...I just wanted to show it off here.8)

I love black and tan combos. probably why 2/3 of my dogs are black and tan lol
I actually think the wagon is more sexy than the sti!
clean wagon! black/tan looks good on it.
if you want to add a mid-spoiler to the hatch, I have a spare one in my garage.
