Non Impreza forum?

I was thinking this morning that it might be good to have a non-Impreza forum added to the boards for those wanting to be a part of our community with other cars. It'd give the EVO, truck, jeep and 2wd guys a chance to get into things here some. The off topic board seems like a good catch-all, but I think it'd be good to seperate cars and off topic alltogether to help the community grow.

i kinda agree :roll: but wouldn't the site be dirtyrides.com? it kinda puts a ding on the whole DIRTYIMPREZA thing.

Its a good idea i think, if the site was to cater to every make and model (yeah dirtyrides.com or something) but Its pretty much designed for subaru impreza owners. Of course all subies owners, or anyone is welcome to chat and post, but i think it defeats the purpose to create Jeep / Evo / Truck forums on "DirtyImpreza"

I wouldnt want this site to turn into a CarDomain or something, im more after a specific demographic rather than sheer volume of members.

I think the "other dirty models" or something is a good idea though! Thanks for suggestion.

i think it's a good idea. there ARE members on here that own cars other than imprezas and it could become a useful tool to them.

Wow!! Being one of the aformentioned "others" I dont know if I should laugh or take offence, lol ! I personally think that the 'members journals section' is broad enough already to encompass all other vehicles that are not subarus. I am here for the ffriends that I have from rallycross and support from other "dirty" people, not particularlly for advice on my Mirage, lol, so I am happy with it the way it is. If I need more specific info I can easialy head over to mirageperformanceforums.com (yup it really exists!! :lol: ) where I have the only dirty car!

Thats what i figured would be the case. Everyone is always welcome on DirtyImpreza, and i think having a mixed group of people visiting and discussing various topics is a very good thing. However most non-impreza owners probably already have their home base as far as websites go. That makes is kinda pointless to create subforums that people probably aren't going to use anyway.

It was a funny topic though ;) hope i didnt offend anyone, it was all in good humor.

the FRX/CRS events (of SoCal at least) have the mighty Neon as a contender in the 'number of entries' ..
