The PSG skidplate is pretty sweet. 3/16 thickness is definitely the way to go. Everything bolted up 100% with no issues. The mounting hardware is pretty burly and I'm sure can withstand a beating too. I'm pretty sure my oilpan/filter and engine block are pretty safe behind this tough piece of aluminum!

Is it the one with the access holes, or the solid one? Got any pics of it installed?
They have 'em 10% off over at NASIOC, which makes it the cheapest price I've seen for a front skid plate.

oops, sorry, I thought I added pics. Here it is.....no access plate, that's illegal for stage rally, so with the future in mind, I didn't go that route. It literally takes less than 5 minutes to drop the plate and re-mount it for oil changes, etc.

The access hole is a cool option, but yes illegal for stage rally. The plate is not difficult to remove and install. I do it all the time without any help.. just using my hands (and a little help from my leg)

yeah, pretty much the same plate. the mounting hardware is a little beefier than my 'old' skid plate. :)

Like countersunk?

Yea countersunk is awesome and I do that on prerunners but for a race truck I usually just leave the bolt-head exposed....Why?? Well the countersunk hardware likes to trap dirt where you would normally put the allen wrench to remove it and dirt has moisture so it likes to rust, now you have a not so ideal fit of wrench to bolt and usually strip out the bolt. Now if its just plain tight you push harder and strip out the head. Or if you landed on a rock and damaged the bolt a little you cannot put the allen wrench in.....so you end up having to weld something onto it to remove it....so the standard hex-head bolt even though ugly is more practical....my .02

Yeah ive never had and problems with it exposed like that. But then again, im not getting airborne and landing on exposed rock either...
