meh, rub it in why don't you? :FU: I can't find them anywhere....haha
and even normal 15" rally tires are really expensive. If I can pick up these monsters at $100 a pop, that's a good deal.

wow, you might get that "lifted truck knobby tire" roar going down the freeway with those... that'd be sick! :)

so, someone check my math on this. I got home and wanted to check my clearance on my current tires....at full lock, there's only about 1 inch between the outside corner of the tire and the back of the wheel well/mud flap. The front half of the tire has plenty of clearance. And the rears will have the clearance too.
SO, I have 225/45/17's on right now.
So that's 225*.45 = 101.25mm = 10.125cm/2.54 = 3.98inches (sidewall)
17" rims + 4" sidewall = 21" + 1" (extra space) = 22" MAX
NOW, these tires are 205/80/16
205*.80 = 164mm = 16.4cm/2.54 = 6.46"
16" rims + 6.46" (sidewall) = 22.45"
So I'm past MAX by about .45".
But these tires will also be slightly thinner (20mm) than my current tires, so that will create a little more space as well. I'm thinking I just might be able to pull this off.......yes/no? Anything else I haven't thought of?
PS, where does one buy cheepy steel rims?

This tire size calculator is pretty useful. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html I've used it to see what I can fit under the STi.

Shouldnt it be 205*80 = 164mm. Then *2 because you have two sidewall(one on each size of the rim). Overall tire size diameter should actually be 28.92.
225/45/17 are actually right around 25 inches in diameter.(judging wich brand you roll with)
Though I would love to see someone rolling through rallyx with those tires..... it may be pushing it.
