I wont be going, as RA denied my waiver application to run my Open Car as a 'novice'.
I will probably just spend the time tweakin' the car out for HDT instead.

what!? they denied you from running plan B?!?! that's just crazy.....
It's not like it's a fast or dangerous rally by any means. I think you should appeal that decision with a phone call explaining the layout and conditions of Plan B. Get Denise to go to bat for you as well.

what what whaaat?
that blows...but now I don't feel so bad bailing on you ;) Wait, technically, now I never did bail on you, LOL.
btw, answer your work email! I need to know what events you want me to co-drive at so I can start saving now.
work still sucks.

Oh, yea, I forgot about that email.
I'll post up something back in the '2009 rally season' forum later today as it looks like I will only be doing NASA events.
In short, I think if your money is tight (as is mine), it might work out better to use someone more local for HDT and the next one is Nevada in June. We can probably wait until that gets closer to make the call.
Kevin,
They didn't really want to hear anything about whatever rally I was doing. They simply stated the rules and nothing further.

that makes sense. besides, I've already done HDT (meh, been there done that :machinegunleft: just kidding!) and the only thing better than HDT in Jack's SRT-4 would be DRIVING your STI, but I doubt that'll happen, hehe.

sounds like they're drawing a thick line and no more 'gray' area. As long as they do that for everyone...including celebrities from other sports looking to make the change.

probably me too.
ironic how in order to run rally events, first you you have to miss a lot of rally events :(
what a cruel, cruel, sport.

This is just one of the reasons people advocate buying your first rally car....
:sigh: just me then>
Hold on there bud, I going and hopefully dragging some people with me.
I am planning on bringing the Feal Suspension service van and doing some track side support for Hot Bits and DMS suspension. I have tools and equipment in the van to do complete Hot Bits rebuilds!:headbang:
I will also have some flyers and might have my Hot Bits rally strut display in by then.
Not racing this one, we are paying muh attention to the USRC events this year

Of course we will be there too, the big decision with my crew is whether they bring the Rock Band setup with the RV or not....
Odi, I will talk with you about a busted off DMS adjuster, I may just end up going to Brett for a couple of his new inserts for the DMS.
do it, that thing is mind boggling.
alright , to anybody who makes their way out there, i'm this guy.

Aha. Smart move.. what we need in 2009 is to LIMIT the number of entries.
I guess it's their prerogative, but you'd think there was room for discussion at least. Oh well.

It was passed onto Mike Hurst but no reply from him (at least not to my addy). Denise tried to pipe in and state the small restrictor rule and that got shot down.
Either way, I am over it. I should have enough coefficients to still maybe do Colorado.

oh and I think I will be @ Plan B to help as well... maybe
