The best way to lift my impreza is to get some struts from a forester or place a bigplatform above the original strut and coil?

My impreza is a 1999 4x4 wagon.

You can do forester or Legacy Outback struts of a similar year. Just be advised that you will have caster issue in the rear. I used 98 Outback struts and springs on my 2000 RS and the caster issue wasn't too bad. Feel free to check out my build thread.

If you do decide to go with the spacers, grab a set of these guys... they're sick!

from another newer thread (http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13220)

"I agree with other people, forester struts will lift (1.5inches or about 40mm) and allow taller tires because the strut shaft is longer. I think you would look for 98-2001 parts. Others have also used 97-99 outback struts to the same results.
I have done the forester strut lift on my wife's 93 impreza, but with the forester strut AND spring, the rear tire swings forward and acually leaves LESS room for a taller tire. ( I have pictures showing this if you would like) I replaced the rear spring with a shorter spring which fixed the problem. I suggest you install ONLY the forester strut and reuse your impreza spring..."

Buen suerte a leventando! tiene mas fotos de su impreza?

you can also use the forester springs in the back if u get the forester trailing arms brackets. that will recenter the wheel. also I've read you need to get subframe spacers from a forester or else ur cv shafts will bind due to the extreme angle. I'm trying to track down someone who has the factory part numbers to make it easier for people.

Hey.... Don't diss my mad drift skillz! I will take a measurement when I get home today of what my rear diff clearance is and etc before I get my 215/70R15 tires mounted (Really hoping I don't have to cut too much metal to make them fit...

Or you can try what I did. It doesn't lift as much as the Forester parts, but in my opinion, that is a good thing.

Handles at least as well as it did when it was stock. Not as well as it did when I had V5 STI struts and stock springs, but that is to be expected.
