I'm in the process of making my 02 bugeye ready for the dirt.

I'm buying a house in the mountains and there's a sick 15mi dirt road that goes up and over 1500ft that I have to take to get to my friends house.

I have a 3in borla hush cat back that hangs too low and dosen't allow for my rear dif guard to be mounted.

Are there any quiet, single tip, 2.5 in stainless catbacks that will fit the bill?

Thanks,
Steve

I had to modify my rear diff guard to clear my 3" SPT exhaust. Just modify the diff guard and call it a day. All I needed to do was notch out a section so the flange on the exhaust would clear the diff guard.

Even with the my shorter kartboy hangers, it's gonna get wacked bad.

Mine hangs lower then the diff as well. Just something you have to deal with. I have had no problems with my setup yet.

if you want it to hang at the same height it will take some Frankenstein mods. Here is what I did (with 2.5 in piping). im not sure how you would get it to sit higher with 3in, it would hit the axle.

.

Now it sits pretty much flush with the rear diff. protector.

04-07 STi's are the same axel back. WRX and STi's share the same midpipe.

+1. It will flow plenty for the power you are making and it is cheap to boot. I have seen STI catback's for as little as $100 over on NASIOC.

Year? Any 04'-07' will fit your WRX.
