OBS style FTW....

OK, so today I spent 4 hours WASHING Paris Mudd came out of EVERY WHERE imaginable..... I pulled apart my inner fenders, well whats left of them.... everything is still a light brown color in the pics.. :dunno

This pic is immediately after painting the lower half.. YES the rear bumper is still primer, I will trash it when the new ones arrive...

Then I spent another 2 hours WET-SANDING both sides... And Sprayed 3 coats of Clear Coat on the sides, up to the windows.... And then it was dark....

I know it looks crappy ATM...

2moro I will be buffing everything smooth ;) I have 3 different buffing compounds and a 10inch orbital buffer.. I expect my car to SHINE once again, It's already pretty shiny from just the clear coat, but it is not perfectly smooth yet...

QUESATION! : Should I lower the black down to the indentation? like 2 inches lower? Right now it follows the line from both both bumpers... I think it looks ok now, but I am getting alot of people telling me to lower it...

Cool, how did ya paint it? Rattle can? I'm curious how it came to be that you decided on the two tone in the first place. Too much damage below that you needed to repaint?

Exactly that ;)

I got the Rattle cans from www.paintscratch.com I have done ALOT of the OBPM over with their cans in the past... you have to loook HARD to find where I redid the black (I have run marks, that are mostly wetsanded flat), the color matches AWESOME!

I recommend them if you need to touch ANYTHING up..

I have used their paint on 2 of my BMWs also.. With great results... (making the car 1 color, mid 90s BMWs come with grey or black along the bottom)

I love the two-tone. Very nice work. I'm excited to see how its going to turn out. I'm indifferent on lowering the black. I like it how it is!

Older Outbacks have the grey about 2 inches above the trim... I know the 04-05 OBS just have the trim and sideskirts painted grey....

Blix as an example ;)

I am EVENTUALLY going to get brave enough and tape off over the fenders... and spray those...

And I went to the store today and got some pink nail polish :shootsself: I'm practicing on some of my junk cars, but I will pinstripe between the 2 colors, after paint is finished ;)
