not really a "site problem" as much as a people problem...
I'm not the only one that is driven insane by "48 hours of tristate" or "your car in a movie" or "subaru is cool" posted in 4 differenct sections of the forum, am i?
Maybe it is a problem of people being stupid, maybe it's a problem with there being entirely too many individual forums/boards in here.
Either way, i think it's retarded and should stop.

+1, The "get your subaru in a movie" thread should have only been posted in one thread (video maybe?), not whored all over the boards like a.... Nuf said.

(pertaining to 48hrs of tristate).....I did that for a reason.... the first one being that i know that i dont check EVERY regions forums, so.... if somebody was interested in seeing what was goin on and it isnt in their forum maybe they wouldnt see it, so thats why it is posted in two different regional forums, and also because the tristate goes through those two different regions, so as to get the word out about it, i did it for that reason, and i also figured it would be a good idea to let the general community know about it also, as it is a CHARITY run, where you dont have to run in it to donate to it, so... thats my reasoning, just wanted to explain it...

^^ That seems alright, it pertained to two regions, thus it belonged in both sub-forums.

I think this is perpetrated by folks who don't know of -- or don't use -- the New Posts link. Then those of us who do use New Posts see all of those duplicate threads.

That or RSS feeds.
When i see grossly duplicated threads ill usually consolidate them, the charity things is for a good cause... To be honest i've been really busy and havent been on the forum too much this week either. If there's stuff that is just ridiculous, be sure to PM a moderator or myself and we'll get it taken care of.
The best thing is to just post where its appropriate. :bored:

yeah, i should have clarified- this is pretty much only a problem to "new post" link users like myself.
I don't care if it's for Charity, i'm in Japan haha.

If you could get a way to cross-link threads so that we can have multiple "virtual" threads going to the same actual thread, that would be perfect.
Until then, well, I need to post FRX stuff in FRX, in SoCal, and in NorCal. . .cause those three are appropriate places for it. . . :D I can't guarantee I'll get SoCal and NorCal people to go to each others' forum or to the FRX forum. :D

Mike,
I wouldn't be opposed to you posting in the appropriate regional forums cross linking back to the main thread in the FRX forum about events. We would just need to close the threads in the regional forums to "force" people to only post in the main FRX forum thread.

I like this idea. Keeps all the relevant info/discussion in one place, and makes it easier to talk smack when it comes down to multi-region events :FU:

Like any drug addition, it simply needs to be moderated by each individual, my friends can handle their high...and the people selling it need to keep it in their own neighborhoods, or they're going to find themselves going down for the 'dirt nap.'
mixing drugs is fine, but you have to pick one or another.....you're either a wine or beer man....coke or heroine....elvis or beetles. In other words, sniff your stuff where its most appropriate, and feel free to share with others at the party...but make them come to your den of desire to partake of the dirty nose candy if that's what they want....we don't want that **** getting out of control.
