Hi guys, sorry I haven't been on in a while, just been busy with my move from NV back to PA. I got rid of my 2.5i in favor of an '02 WRB wagon, but it was WAY too much geared toward street driving (lowered, big turbo, 17" wheels...etc) So I ditched the wagon in favor of something more apt to liking the roads that are home to STPR....

Its a fully built, prepped, and logbooked 1994 Impreza. Car may look familiar, as it has had a very colorful past with LastDitchRacing (built by them, owned by them up until now). I will be documenting ALOT on this car, as there is ALOT to be sorted and updated (for driveability/reliability). Just thought that you all should know that the "TULIP" still lives (for those that know the car)...and anyone in the North East should keep your eyes open for this car on the RallyX and possibly the regional rallies around!!!

I've met and talked to John Cassidy a few times (a great guy BTW). Since then ive been following LDR quite closely and dug into their racing past a bit...
That's a rolling piece of history right there. :eek:

Lastditch are the local team (here in Maine) great guys, good to see the car will be rally-xed. remind me of the setup, hydra ems? and it is very very loud... right?

The ori-jun-all steel tulip! That is one fun car. Stong and reliable.
Did I hear that there was a WRX/STI engine and drivetrain destined for that shell? I thought I heard Nigel saying something about turbos and transplants around the time we was delivering the car.
Personally I don't think it needed it - that 2.5 n/a was a screamer as it was.

the car is still n/a. engine management is link if i remember correctly.
Westy was rattling off all the details to me last night but I didn't have my pen/paper handy... LOL

Car is a 2000 RS 2.5 SOHC with lightweight flywheel and crank pulley. 2003 WRX trans case with RA gearset, 12kG center diff, ver2 STi rear diff. Running on LINK EMS (full standalone). Has a 15 Gallon ATL fuel cell in the trunk, and is on HotBITS suspension. The car is very, VERY strong!! I was shocked at how well this car runs/drives. It is a very well put together car!!! There are a few minor things that need to be sorted (but what car doesn't?!)
As for how loud the car is. It WAS EXTREMELY loud!! I have put on something a lil more suitable to my running the car around here a bit (gotta keep her limber!). I have had a blast with it so far, gets ALOT of looks!! Still gotta get the body cleaned up some, and tear it down this winter and sort the wiring. Other than that it will be doing alot of rallyX and MAYBE a stage event in 09...Thanks for looking!
