Coming from an RS owner, I am jealous. Very nice snag. Congratulations on getting one! I'm excited to see what becomes of this!! I had no idea... must have taken quite a bit to keep this a secret!!!
What do you think of it so far?

Some of my first thoughts are in here:

Its pretty cool. I noticed its very easy to park. the car is much smaller than my STi. I could see out of it very well too! The stick shift feels really soft which kinda sucks, but ill probably get short shifter with some nice new firm bushings. It feels like i'm shifting with a wooden spoon in a bowl of mashed potatoes.
Black freaking rocks. I have an awesome idea for a graphics setup. Its going to be sick.

So does this mean no more off roading for the STI?

For the time being... no. I will be driving the STi for probably the rest of the CRS/FRX events this year. Once the RS is built though, its is going to be the primary rally vehicle.

a short shifter w/poly bushings will take care of this problem for sure. i had the same thing. kartboy ss with bushings did the trick :lick:

Yeah i was looking at their SS kit (shifter, bushings, knob) for $150. Not bad! sure beats $210 for 6speed STi shifter...
RS rocks!

Do you have something to tow it with?
Wonder if the STI could if someone designed a class 2 hitch for sedans

Nothing to tow it with just yet... im working on that. Probably wont have a truck for a while though. An STi towing a RS would be one funny ass picture.

Im not sure about the STi's but the manual for my WRX says "no more than 2k pounds." I am not sure but I think you 2.5 is a bit beefier then that.

yes, this is definitely going to be an annoying "take pictures of everything" project. Simply beacause i was dumb and didnt do it with my STi. so prepare to be bombarded with pictures of every mundane detail!
Thanks for the offer Kyle! im sure there will be lots of ways to help. I dont think i can do the handbrake conversion with the classes i eventually want to run in stage rally... :( but well see!
