well I keep forgetting to come over here and post up here. I own a 99 2.5RS RBP and a 2009 FXT OBP. I've taken the RS off road my wife was driving the FXT on the trails following me. I'm in the military and like off road driving down tank trails.

I have more pictures of each car except need to get them uploaded again. I need some more updated pictures of my car.

right now the RS has clear bumper lights, clear fender lights, Prodrive Shift knob (silver/blue top), and Borla Cat back exhaust that came with it when I bought it. Rally Armor mud flaps as well. I have seats that I'm waiting on Brackets so I can install them.

Thanks for viewing There will be a lot of updates on events I hope to go to. Hopefully more off roading that I do in my free time before I deploy. So there might be updates until May, then I get deployed and when I get back it'll be swap time. Hoping for a full 2.5 WRX swap drivetrain and all.

Not totally sure but I was thinking a Stage 2 Exedy except I don't think I'm changing my clutch til after I get my swap. I'm going for a 2.5L WRX engine with a 3" turbo back and hopefully a 6 Speed STi transmission and hopefully get a working DCCD. I have a lot of plans for my car and another project car when the swap is done and I get more money for an internal upgrade in the stock RS motor. Right now it's just waiting on money and everything to come into place.

From Dirt to Street, Rally X to Auto X, I'll be testing the waters on how well I drive on tarmac. I saw how well I do in Dirt now we're staying clean for this event. Dec 7th in Colorado Springs I can't wait.

Well I have pictures from today's auto cross. I had a good time not as fun as getting dirty though but still learned more about running my lines and how to drive properly on a course. I'm getting there in skill and was rather consistent with my runs all coming in around 60.7-62.9 or so.

Not much to up date did some Rally X practicing yesterday with 06WRXTRacer met a guy with a 2004 STi who saw us playing in the dirt. I might be trading him my Black BBS wheels for his Gold BBS wheels that I hope will fit with no rubbing on my Struts a little fender rub is ok for now at least. but I will at least have a set of wheels and tires for the next Auto X in February since I'm missing the January one. I hope for better times this time with hopefully placing 3rd or better with actual summer tires with better traction.

well long time since I've posted here but nothing to really update looking at buying something for the RS maybe CAI or the STi Carbon fiber strut tower brace or IDK something so I can do an update. I know I need to do some maint on my shifter bushings since I have a lot of play in my shifter. I really need to get my passenger seat swapped out too so I may have something to update shortly.

Alright tomorrow is my second Auto X event and I'll be going out today to get some Kumho Ecsta SPT tires mounted on the BBS wheels. this will be the first time I'll be rolling on the sexy BBS wheels. I'll get to see just how good these tires can handle my driving. I hope to push it everylap and keep consistent with my runs and hopefully keep my streak of no cones going. So far in 2 events 1 Rally X and 1 Auto X event I've had 1 penalty for missing a gate during Rally X. So in technicalities I never hit a cone.

Well I'll finally have something for real to update soon. I'll have some new Struts (AGX) and Springs (STi Pinks). Also a 20mm RSB for some fun. I should have all this installed before the Auto X on March 14 and then Rally X March 21. I can't wait I wonder which class I will be in for Auto X with those upgrades.

This is a misconception due to the way ebay sellers label their products. Amber side markers and turn signals are actually OEM in all countries, the clear lights are just for style.

Yeah I know that some of the clear lights aren't JDM but there are some that were JDM like the corners were JDM.

I can has lift? well I'm lifted alright, and I can feel every bump with the 3 front 6 rear AGX settings. I can feel a worlds difference between 4 blown struts and soft springs to the AGX 225 spring rate front and 200 rear, very stiff. Picture update tomorrow very aggressively high stance. If you notice they need adjusting to bring the front down about 1/4 or 1/2 an inch. Also big thanks to my buddy Troy for the help and tools needed. Also my buddy Kevin who isn't on here (he owns a talon TSi at least it's AWD) who helped me cut the lower spring perch off my AGXs with his Die Grinder.

Also adjusted the ride height and evened the front with the back so it's only like 1mm higher in the front than the rear. I'll wait until Friday to adjust it before the Auto X.

Well my newest upgrade to the car I installed today. A 20mm rear sway bar, took it for a spin and felt a good difference. The rear stays more planted when taking a turn at a good speed.

well alright I'm trying to sell this snow board bindings and boots. looking to buy a CAI for the RS so I can start my power mods for the N/A build I'm going for. Hopefully I'll have a rally car by this time next year.

Holy long time since I posted in my journal. It happens when you're on deployment away from your Suby. I do have a few updates and some little things bought. I picked up a McGard spline drive lug set black closed end. I just bought a set of STi yellow side feed fuel injectors. Now it's time to add some power I will be looking for a Rallitek PP6 or SAFC and an aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator. That should complete what I need for the switch to E85. I think the STi injectors may be a little much for E85 but hopefully they will work for their purpose.

Also I will be attending my first Track Day on September 11th hopefully. I can't wait!!! I'll probably be addicted after my first time.

I decided it's not worth it going E85 plus the STi injectors are too large for just E85. So I decided to pick up a few other little bits for my car instead. I ordered a new wing, trading for some C West skirts and spats, trading for some WRX seats, and I just purchased an intake as well. Everything is coming along nicely for my transformation from Rally X dirt mobile to DD/Auto X/Track day car. I will have pictures up in about 2 weeks or so. Around Spring time I should hopefully have a different car that will be built for Rally another impreza chassis of course.

Well another change to what is going on with my car. I just purchased a set of upgraded heads for some more power out of my little N/A 2.5L engine :twisted:. So I'm thinking I have an intake heads and possibly do a 20-30% E85 mixture. All tuned with a Greddy Emanage hopefully. Must find $500 soon so I can do that. I wonder what kind of power that would put down. Maybe I will dyno it after I put everything together. I'm going to guess somewhere near 154 WHP though. The guy I bought the heads off of had COBB CAI and 2.5" exhaust with HFC and dyno'd at 154 WHP.

Anyone know where to find a base dyno of a stock 98-01 2.5RS? I would like to try and get a base number of how much power I gained.

Well I installed my CAI on my RS along with a good wash down and threw the BBS wheels back on. It drives and sounds great now. Today I'm picking up some 05 WRX seats to put in. I may take some new photos today after the WRX seats are in.

Also my Delta cam heads came in I need to give them a good cleaning and head gasket job before I install them. So I am waiting til Spring time to install the heads and possibly some high compression pistons and some other little bits here and there to up the rev to 8 or 9k rpms. Hopefully my Rally build gets the power I want out of it.

yeah the bumper is C West I'm not a big fan. He has an RS front bumper as well though. I have a set of C West side skirts that would match the bumper exquisitely. lol, yeah I hate the C West bumper though.

I agree an RS front bumper with fog light covers may bring that business down just a tad. IDK it looks very flashy and "oh look at me" style. I kind of like that especially in my DD. I want heads to turn when I drive by and then go "damn that was a sweet wagon" since not many people appreciate the wagon.

Well I'm not sure if I'm buying the wagon yet or not. I waiting for further information from the owner. He said he was busy and would contact me when he gets more serious on selling it. From what he said it has a EJ257 short block with EJ205 heads with work done to the heads and such. I would probably not mess with the turbo intercooler and such. I would just do exterior upgrades to get it where I like it.

Well since I learned of Subarus and the world of Rallying, I made it a goal to one day own a full fledged rally car. Now that I have the money for a rally car and one just so happened to come up for sale rather locally for a decent price I figured why not go for it. I never really make a resolution but this year I guess you could say that is my resolution. Maybe if I'm elligible for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb I may just give it a shot.

It is a 93 Impreza shell with a 2000 RS 2.5L motor ready to go for Open Light Class. I have a few parts laying around to beef up the N/A 2.5L power in it already. Just need to get this bad boy and do a little maint on the motor in the car plus upgrades then it's off to the races.

Me being a whore of a car I don't own yet :oops:.

I know it looks like a great deal and I hope to have the cash for this beauty by February. I will definitely keep this thread update until I buy it. I already have the RS wing to swap over to this rally car I have the stock RS 13mm rear anti-sway bar. So I can't wait to put my own touches on this car when I get it. Plus the newer heads I have sitting in my garage with the 2000 grind cams in them just waiting to give my Open light car the extra power boost it definitely needs.

Thanks for the comments guys right now I'm trying to design a new exterior color scheme and stuff to actually make it my own when I finally purchase this. I am 110% certain I will buy this car in February. The engine needs some TLC but hey that's what I like to do.

So which one should I shoot for? The later event might be more feasible for funding. Also not sure about taking off of work yet for either event though. I wouldn't know til closer to the event if I have training or something going on that I can't take a 4 day weekend.

I don't think I'll be attending Prescott this year. I found a more local Hill Climb season the CHCA (Colorado Hill Climb Association) So I will be missing the first event since I won't be back in time for May 8th & 9th. They do have about 4 other events this season and figured I would get a hang of the new car doing Rally X and those Hill Climb events. Next year look out for me during the SW Regional RA events.

Found them on a local forum for pretty cheap. $50

If you check out RS25.com one of the vendors has them or you could find a used set on there.

I would keep my eyes out on RS25 NASIOC eBay and craigslist. You never know where they will pop up. I think mine are authentic not sure though. It has writing on the inside that says ABS. Should be getting the screw/bolt to get them on for good.

Got a call this morning from the insurance company saying that Monday I need to call to discuss the total loss of my RS.

Today I went and checked out the new RS that I'm looking at buying. STi swapped 6 speed 1999 2.5 RS coupe in RBP. The same body of my current RS with the plans I had for everything else in it. I glad I'm staying in a RBP coupe RS but sad that I'm losing my RS.

I mocked up my new gauge mount this morning when the guy who is making this dropped it off. I need to drill the mounting holes right now and then actually mount them. These mounts can work with using a single DIN CD player in a double DIN opening or in the stock dash mount from Subaru.
