So here we have it! The DirtyImpreza.com chatbox (a member suggested feature) and so far it looks pretty sweet! I use AIM at work to chat to a few DI'ers but this way, anyone who has access to the forums can talk to other people. As you'll notice, there is a small chat box at the top of the main index, where you can see a small section of the chat in progress. To enter a bigger / full version of chat click the "ChatBox Full" link in the navbar or click here. (http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/misc.php?do=cchatbox) Chat messages will automatically refresh with the latest entries every 10 seconds.
Since this is all new, its time to lay some simple ground rules. Nothing big here, its all common sense and most of it lines up with the overall forum rules.
1) Be nice to other DI members. We're all here out of our love for rallying and getting sideways in the dirt. Remember the other people in the chat room were drawn to DI for the same reason. Even if you have differences of opinion, don't take it personally. Direct / Hostile comments towards other members will not be tolerated and will get you banned from Chat (and possibly the forums). Remember, everyone being cool here is what separates DI from the majority of other car forums. :bored:
2) Refrain from asking technical questions in the chat box. Please post these questions in the Technical Forums (http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8) so that the general community can benefit from being able to view the solution to one of your questions later on.
3) Don't post links that are NSFW. :oops: Again, this is a forum-wide rule, so doing something like this can get you banned. Even if I don't see it, but someone else calls you out on it, you may not be allowed back to participate with us. DI is not the place for that kind of stuff, there's plenty of other websites you can go to if you want to chat / post about NWS topics.
4) Enjoy yourself and come back often! I really hope that people like this feature and use it often.
