GrimmSpeed presents "GrimmSpeed Gold", your only BBS gold wheel paint match..you can't even get this color directly from BBS!! Our engineers have been working on this color match the entire summer and it is finally here! We personally know that when you damage those beautiful gold BBS rims it is impossible to find a paint that is an exact match so you end up with the whole world knowing that you rubbed that extra high curb. Well now you can spray a bit of our "GrimmSpeed Gold" Wheel Paint on them and they will look like new!
And for all of you that don't have BBS wheels, well now you can paint your wheels the same color as the BBS wheels. Being Subaru owners ourselves, we are all addicted to the gold look but it is impossible to find a good gold color at your local paint/auto parts store(especially one that is even remotely close to BBS gold). Search no more!

It's an acrylic enamel. Basically it's the most durable single component paint available (paint able to be sprayed out of a rattle can).
Clear coats and application: We suggest the gold color coats to happen within an hour of eachother. We recommend using clear coat 3-4 days AFTER the coats of the gold to prevent the occurence of lifting and/or wrinkling. Any clear should work but we suggest testing a sample area first. A clear coat isn't necessary however.

So this doesn't need primer or clears coats??? cuz thats just extra money I don't feel like spending. How many cans to do four 16 inch stockers?

Depends on how many coats you do.
I got away with one can of white enamel on 16" stockers, but did 2 or 3 very thin coats on each wheel, didn't prime, didn't clear. It was more of a test.
When I sprayed my stock RS 6 spokes, and did it right, I did 4-5 coats per wheel for the color layer. And used 2 or 3 cans if I remember correctly.

if you do rallycross, I would highly recommend some nice clearcoat (duplicolor sells some made just for wheels - you can get it at autozone, etc) and you may even want to bake the paint in front of a space heater

for anyone interested, the local sherwin-williams automotive paint store (they specialize in automotive paints only) was able to match Obsidian Black Pearl in a rattle can for me for $20 and they put the leftover paint into 2 more cans (so I got 3x rattle cans for $20)... in case you've got some other weird wheel or body color and want it to match but don't want to pay $$$$ for expensive car paint.

Do you have the paint in a bulk (non spray) form to put in a paint gun? I'd rather have paint gun atomisation than rattle can.
