So I'm sure we've all seen GrimmSpeed on this site by now, well, I installed their hood dampers last night, here's the result.

These things are pretty sweet, albeit I've never had hood dampers before, but I wish I did now!

Super easy to install, about 7-8 minutes each side. You will need a small open ended 5/16 wrench (or I used my 8mm wrench since I don't own too many SAS tools anymore).

You can (if you're on a budget) use just one instead of the pair. One damper held the hood up just fine. But with the pair the hood has much more support, and actually lifts itself after about 2/3 of the way up (see video).

Price is SWEET. $80 for the pair. That blows away anything I've seen on the market.

I have some fake Carbon Fiber ones from NRG innovations, they look good and do the job. (I still haven't removed my hood prop though).

I agree the Tein green is fugly.

Did you only get one? I couldnt tell if there was one on the left side from the vid.

I got two. With one you have to push it up all the way and it holds. With two its much less effort, and I'm lazy, so.....

PLEASE NOTE:

so I edited my first post RE: Price.

At $80, I just assumed it was for one. So I ordered two. Well, when I unpacked the rest of the box (I got the headers too), I found a 2nd full set of dampers. So its $80 for the PAIR.

schaaaa-wing.....sweet deal! Order now before GrimmSpeed figures out the error. I should sell this 2nd set on ebay for $120 and make $40. LOL. (but I won't)
