GrimmSpeed OEM Style Gasket, OEM quality without the high OEM price.

FINALLY you have an option for an extra thick Exhaust Manifold to Up Pipe Gasket. The most troublesome mating joint in the Subaru exhaust track is the manifold to up pipe connection. So what did we do? Well lets just say we made a gasket that is as thick as Sarah Palin's accent. More than 2x thicker than the OEM. In all, it is 2.5mm thick..a monster compared to the 1.2mm thick oem!

Whether it is OEM Manifold > OEM Up Pipe, OEM Manifold > Aftermarket Up Pipe, Aftermarket Header > Aftermarket Up Pipe....they all have leaking issues at this connection. Our new gasket solves this problem. At GrimmSpeed we have worked with endless amounts of aftermarket gaskets, none seem to work as well as the multi-layer steel oem style gaskets. The issue with the oem gaskets from Subaru is that they are so expense. Well Grimmspeed has your answer, a premium multi-layer steel w/ stainless steel fire-ring gasket at a great price.

This product cross-references with Subaru part number is 144022AA170.

not trying to be a jerk, but it looks like you just stacked 6 metal gaskets... what's the difference?

Do you have these type gaskets for cat>catback? I like the multi-layer metal construction.

I'm a bit confused...the difference between what? It is twice the thickness which will battle blowouts from warped flanges/discrepancies.

Currently we have the 22% thicker than oem MLS cat>catback gasket not the double thick.

You need to understand the single fire ring that seals all those layers. If you stack 2 OEM gaskets you risk leaking between the two fire rings.

I am currently running a crucial gasket that leaked paired with my old OEM gasket and its barely holding on.

I'll definitely try this double thick gasket next time around. Wish it was available back when I bought my crucial.
