guess what?
there all super ultra mega bright lol.. just depends what Kelvin temp you go with. also if u have projectors some or most wont fit ur lights..
i have swapped in 7 pairs of HID's into all of my past vehicles and found out what i need to know.
1st. if u goto ebay lets say you can get like a pair for like $50 now.. they are a single ballast and igniter in one dealy and usually come in a box that looks like a bomb taped up lol stay away! they last for like 6 months and then u cant get replacement parts unless u know some crazy language.
soo go for the slightly more expensive ones..$100-$200 and ull never have problem.. and thee will be seperate igniter and sepereat ballast, with english call lines, some parts will be of the make that the factory ones are made from.
almost all are plug and play.. very easy to install, and since u have an 08.. u dont have to worry about the light wire current reversing..
the biggest problem about instalation isss.. 7-15 amps and 24-55,000 volts! very dangerous! soo never install it while its hooked up! i have seen large ARCs and that is not good lol.
2nd.. when u see for example 3000K .. it means 3000 Kelvin color temperature, the lower the number the Brighter and easier to the eyes the light is, also the better ull be able to see in ruogh conditions, so if u get 30,000K purple.. u wont see much lol
HID's in cars with out it stock.. is ILLEGAL! and i have had many warnings.. soo keep it around 3000K-8000K and u wont be bothered too much.
and now to make things simple on my headach lol
High Intensity Gas Discharge Light Kits HID, High Intensity Discharge, refers to lighting technology that relies on an electrical charge to ignite xenon gas in a sealed bulb, similar to the lightning phenomenon in the sky. HID lighting does not have a filament but instead creates light by igniting an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight tiny quartz capsule filled with xenon gas. HID lighting are also called Xenon lighting, referring to the gas inside the bulb.

HID lighting improves durability by 10 times as road vibrations can cause damage to halogen filament, but there is nothing to break inside HID bulb. These light sources also produce a blue-white light that is safer because it is closer to natural daylight. The color temperature is more than 5000K compared to 2300K for halogen. The light output from a 35W HID Xenon lamp is 300% more light than a 55W halogen bulb. The HID Xenon system will also consume much less power from your vehicles electrical system and generate much less heat during operation. Check out our video on HID.

Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin (K) that indicates the hue of light source. There is a misconception that color temperature is a rating of the brightness of the HID bulb. The truth is that the higher the color temperature, the less light output from the HID bulb.
http://www.quickconversions.co.uk/colors.gifHowever, all HID light is much brighter than Halogen, even if it is a 35W 12000K HID bulb, the light output still maintain well over 2700lm; which is still 300% brighter than 55W Halogen with 700lm. The industry recommended standard is the 6000K HID bulb. Check out the lights live here.
http://www.quickconversions.co.uk/Colortemp.jpgAdvantages of HID
- 3X Brigther than halogen lights for greater night-time driving visibility
- 10X Longer Lasting, so No need to replace for life of the vehicle potentially
- Retrofit all domestic & imported cars, SUVs & trucks. Simple & quick Plug & Play
- No modification requires to your car.
- 100% Reversible to your original factory halogen headlight
- 35% less power consumption
- Generate less heat
- Fits all car models
- Highest Japanese Industry Standard quality products
- Extra long wiring harness for easy installation
- Weather & water resistance
- World smallest & lightest ballast & igniter modules
