Anyone got an aftermarket shift kit in theirs? I was looking for something with an adjustable height ( I like mine high up). I looked at kartboy and cobb. Wanna get soe feed back before I buy anything.

I have a KB. I really like it, but it's not adjustable, and it sits fairly low.

I've toyed with the idea of making my own short throw long handled shifter. It really wouldn't be that difficult to do, I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

If you want adjustablity, cobb makes a sweet 2 way adjustable one (the 2 ways = height of the shifter portion, and also throw). We installed one in a GD STi and it was a pain in the ass, but GC's and WRX's might be a bit easier (no reverse cam lockout mechanism, etc)

I purchased some components to make one of these for my brothers car but we ran out of time. I am going to make one for my car one day.

Interested to see and hear how it works.

I totally understand the one day aspect. There are a lot of things I've been saying one day about. After Tash was killed though a lot of my one day's have turned into "today's". Hence why so much work on the cars lately.

the normal shifter has a gray lever, the factory short throw has a gold colored lever.

I got it on and it is awesome. The added heigth and short @$$ throw makes it easier to focus on everything else. I seriously beleive in car setup. this is just a step closer for me. Now on to the handbrake.
