Got an invite on dorkspace and figured I'd add another forum under my belt. Here's my studly self sitting up in my tower guarding this hell hole. And by studly I mean overfed and ugly:

I used to drive a 2000 Civic hatchback with a jdm civic type r swap (B16B) with a 93472847298472394 rpm redline, then I grew up and needed something a little less gay and "please pull me over"ish. I was on my way to work and saw something I've wanted since high school sitting in a little used car lot. I took it for a spin and was instantly sold. It had an exhaust leak and some hesitation problems - but it had leather, a working sunroof (Honda electronics ftl), A/C (Honda base models ftl), torque (Honda power curves ftl), and was an all-around smoother ride with more creature comforts and weird buttons than I know what to do with (Honda everything ftl). Plus they gave me cash for the trade. Score. So I washed her up and drove around taking pictures:

I left for Iraq exactly one year ago today and left the keys with my mom to use as a get-around car since she's retired. A few months later the 4eat crapped out and was the perfect opportunity for me to drop some hard-earned dough burning a hole in my pocket on a 5mt swap (All 28,000 SVX's sold world-wide over 6 years were automatic - 14,000 of which were sold in America). I contacted an SVX deity on my forum to pick her up and find me a tranny. A few months later he finished and shipped her back. I didn't want to drop an assload of money, but I settled mid-ground with an '04 RS transmission with pretty low miles. I also started getting mod-happy and ordered up a set of wheels, a chip upgrade, cold air intake, jdm clear corners, clear headlight lenses, HID's, d/s rotors, and ss lines to stop this 3500lb tank. All sat and waited for me to come home.

Mid-May finally rolled around and it was time for me to take my two weeks of leave to bang my fiancee, drink anything and everything with alcohol in it, and finally shift gears on my own.. in no specific order. It's not the fastest car on the road but the 5mt definitly gets this thing moving faster than the craptastic autos Subaru engineers whipped up. Then I got all those parts installed and it's even more fun. Well my girl left me two days later for no reason, so the alcohol part filled up the better half of the pie chart on those three things, but that's another story.

Anyways, here's what she looks like now. Stock they came with 230hp/230tq, after mods it's got around 250ish, who knows but it's fun to drive. With the huge drivetrain loss I'm guessing it puts around 190 to the wheels. I also added some stickerpower (sig pic), so I'm up to around 600 now. Oh and contradicting the forum name, she's mostly not an Impreza and she's too pretty for dirt :)

Well that's about it, sorry it's so long but I've got nothing but time here. I come home very soon and can't wait to, well, do a lot of things.

I love your car man! Do NOT take it in the dirt. She would cry and probably scream loud enough for all of us to hear it. Get home safe man! Keep your a$$ in the grass.

Nah, not gonna take her in the dirt.. but this'll be my first time ever having an awd five speed in the snow :). The 4eat blew ass in the stuff.. The front wheels would spin forever unless you floor it, then the rear wheels would finally "kick in." It was retarded.

There is a fix for this ;) it requires some electrical know how though...

Not like you care anymore.... SVX + Manual swaps are FTW!

That's the sound of your Suby screaming for more sideways action...I think.

^^^^^ Hahaha

On a serious note, thats your turboozzz spooling ups.

Wait, serious note?

Great looking SVX... theres only one SVX I've seen taken off road.. and it was involved in a sweet police chase... and then later put on ebay as the notorious SVX-police-chased-sweet-ride

I'm home finally. I put 200 miles on the car in two days just cruising around, life is good. I also got some hid's installed along with some other ricer gear, I don't have a pic but they look exactly like this:
