Whats up everyone? I bought this car on June 30th 2007. The purchase came about because I had driven a 95 Eclipse for 3 or 4 years that was a stick and as I drove by a car lot about 2 years ago on my way to work I spotted an OBS. So I swung into the lot and asked the sales person if it was for sale and found out that it technically was but they didn't have any info on hand since they just took it in on trade about 30 minutes before I got there. So I said here's $100 bucks to hold it for me and call me with the specifics cause I'm on my way to work. So he called me back and left me a message telling me the specifics including the fact that it was an automatic. I decided that this wouldn't be a issue since my girlfriend couldn't drive a stick and I didn't think I would really care one way or the other. After 2 years of driving an automatic GC8 I couldn't take it anymore and the search for either a WRX or an STi was on so that my GC8 could be my work/dog car. When I found my current WRX I went in and test drove it but kept looking for a few weeks to try and find an STi but that proved to be unsuccessful so I went back to the local Sooby dealer and checked to see if they still had and was amazingly surprised that they did. So I talked to the Subaru manager (and actually got offered a job lol) and got him to help me out with the sales manager on price and he got him to pay my first 2 months of insurance and take the price of a 5 year wheel tire damage replacement waranty down to $200. So overall even though A LOT of people get ripped off at car lots I feel like I got a decent deal and I came out with some waranties that I would not have gotten buying from a private party.

Mods so far have not taken place as this is the 2nd day of ownership but the list is starting.

blix, I was thinkin the same thing with a silver lip on the rim. I'm also on the search for an STi trunk/wing to add on to it and an exhaust.

Getting a cd player installed tomorrow hopefully as well.

any other suggestions ???

personally...i'd go with no wing at all. then you're stealth and sleek. i love the low-profile look of a WRX w/no wing.

So did you take the job at the dealership? I would've. :)

The rex looks like a good find. The mudflaps will definately make it look better.

Any mods on the OBS besides the wheels and rack?

Corey, I haven't completely decided yet. I got my RA UR Limited mud flaps on today and will be posting some pics of my short shifter and flaps tomorrow. I am sort of leaning in the direction of racing seats and new harnesses but have not made a commitment yet, I'm open to any and all suggestions.
