View Full Version : What would you want on DirtyImpreza.com (website not forums)

So. I'm really going to stepup my efforts to create a webpage for visitors that hit http://www.dirtyimpreza.com

The only thing is that i have limited time and resources to put into the page, so its going to be pretty basic for now. It wont be terribly interactive or anything (thats what the forums are for) but i'm looking to get some Rally News on there and some other things that i can think of. But thats about it, i'm having a hard time coming up with anything else to put on there that isnt hugely maintenance intensive, etc.

What would be cool to have on there? I can't promise everything suggested will be incorporated, but its good to have some outside opinions.

Maybe host videos and pictures of forum members at motorsports events.

I am looking into some software that is available for the forums and the website.... Theres some cool stuff out there, so this is probably going to happen, its just a matter of time.

Maybe on the main page have a sidebar for forum navigation, or have a "recent posts" section
I don't know if either would clutter the home page though. What does anyone else think?

i like this idea! I think ill make it happen.

the side is being worked on furiously. its frustrating the crap out of me (some stupid kinks in the site) but otherwise its looking very nice. simple! but very nice.

perhaps you could have a good link section with hot links to places wich sell offraod/rally/performance/hard to get parts.

or perhaps reviews of aftermarke parts, which you could prolly pull from the forums. or you could do the same with installs.

yeah the links part is definately in the works, im compiling the companies and weblinks as we speak.

As far as pulling threads from the forums, the website is going to be essentially static for the time being, maybe further down the road something like this will be developed.
