Hey guys,
I'm so glad someone told me about this forum because first I'm a rally enthusiasts like many of you and second I wouldn't have found it on my own.
Just a brief history about me. I went to school in RPI and at that university I started the RallyRPI club where we hosted TSD rallies, held meetings and showed WRC videos, and toward the end of my 4 year experience there we actually started the initiative to build a team rally car.
We got our hands on a 1G AWD Talon, were donated about $2000 in tires, rims, spare body parts, harness, ect, and had a team of kids working on the project. Unfortunately at the end, the school couldn't support the program due to liability issues and thus the project became more of a guerilla effort. Soon I left, and then the key group of kids left, and the project was gone.
In my time, I hosted two major rallycross events in upstate NY, some of which you might have attended: 1st one two years ago at Washington County Fairground (one of the nicest land I've rallied on), and the one last year at Argyl (mud fight). The Argyl track was beautiful, especially with the hilly countours and pro-rally-like condition, but for those who went it rained the day of the event and we couldn't explore the full potential of the course.
You might have also seen me at Rally New York in Narrowsburg, NY. I have now been there for ~5+ years and currently owns the Blind Pond Stage. I'm always looking for more volunteers to help me crew the stage.
I hope to contribute a lot to this community and look to provide more opportunities for people to get involved in the sport of rallying.
