Just thought I'd introduce myself, love getting the Subi in the dirt, I've already posted some pics & a video in the right places. Car is a 98 Liberty/Legacy.

Thanks for the welcome, it's amazing just how well they go in the soft stuff, even with 38lb in the tires.

I can only imagine, after learning how well they do in just about anything else. Rock on for what you've done with your car.

Yeah I originally bought it at the damaged car auctions for $7,000 2 1/2 yrs ago, bought all the bits needed cheaply & had it fixed professionally, cost a further 4g to get it on the road (knock about 20% off for the AU/US dollar difference) then I went & bought a V3 MY97 Jap STI front cut, with GT bonnet, tail shaft & wheels for about 6g, then it cost me a further 5g to have everything swapped over but that incluided $1,750 for the 3" TBE, new clutch, redline oil & a few other bits & pieces (we drilled one hole in the whole process to hold the power steering cooler in place, otherwise EVERYTHING just swapped over) the wiring was the only nightmare, since then I've added a rear window with a wiper, bilstein struts & king springs, H brace, 20mm rear sway bar, anti lift kit, cold air intake & an extra olive in the turbo line to add a further couple of lb boost, 16.9 stock, now about 20lb, so here's some more pics from start to as it is today.
The V3 STI comes with alloy arms 4 pot brakes forged internals VF23 turbo & a much more aggressive computer.
I've had the motor out twice since I originally put it in, once cos the top radiator hose snapped off in the dunes & the temp gauge stayed on normal (warped heads but still drivable) and for a re build about 6 months ago when I pulled about 9,000rpm & spun a main bearing with low oil whilst having a drag with a mate in his hot 92 RS turbo haha

The boot/trunk is totally different from^^^ to below as the bottom one is off a Jap car different shaped lights

as it looks now at the front but with the bonnet/hood painted

Rear window & wiper would have to be the best $300 ever spent, that's supplied fitted & tinted.
