logging in to gallery

whenever I click "log in" for the gallery is sends me to the forum index. If I click register is askes my age blah blah blah and then says "sorry, that username already exists"

I see what you're saying. I have never noticed this problem since I dont ever see the need to "logout" of the gallery. Its kicking me to the forum main index for some reason. Ill see what i can figure out..

I noticed that depending on what page I was on in the gallery, the link that the login button referred me to changed. it had the same 'http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/gallery/login.php' in it, but anything after that was different. The gobbly gook after that points to the page that the user clicked on from. I don't know if that has anything to do with it?

That gallery might go away all together, to be replaced by a better one. Part of the new content management software i am trying to get live as we speak.

Last time I talked to Aaron about it he was still debating switching to different gallery software. I've used the one thats on here now on a different forum and it just wasn't that great. It wasn't well organized and was overall pretty lame

Well this topic discussed the gallery awhile ago so i figured i would just post here instead of creating a new thread. I am a noob on computers and the only pics i can upload are off of my crappy phone. I am trying to get my ones off my camera but it keeps telling me the file is to large. anyone know how to shrink picture storage size so i can post more pics in my gallery? Thanks for any help. :?

actually this original thread was started regarding issues with our old gallery software (which sucked) so those old posts are irrelevant.

And yes. Ifranview is free and easy to use.

+1 on Irfanview, it's a legend. Make sure when resizing that you use the "Resample" option and use the 'Lanczos (slowest)' filter, cos it'll do the best job. It also does rotation (just press L or R), cropping (draw box, ctrl-Y), simple image enhancement (shift-G) and the print function is awesome.
