Well Im new here. I have an '03 WRX with not much done to it. I am looking forward to attending a class in Oregon that will give credit toward my NASA and RA liscenses. Anyone ever hear of this place? Primitive Performance Driving. They seem cool and the class is cheap. Anyway I hope to be doing staged rally soon. Thanks for letting me into this group of enthusiasts!

UP2MTNS did this school a few months ago. It sounded like a real blast! check out the thread here:

I had originally signed up for Eklunds (Primitive) school, but didnt have enough to do both the CRS school at ridgecrest, so i chose the closer one...

I don't know much about the school itself, but some people down here have mean Eklund (I think it was him, it was someone high up with Primitive) and said he was a pretty cool guy

Yeah, ive met Paul in person before (at the Las Vegas in-n-out meet) last year during the SEMA show. He is a very personable guy. If you look at his rallying history too, he definitely knows his stuff.

I've been to Paul's school (in March) and am going again in June.

Here are some pix from the March class - very very very muddy:

The dirty silver RS is mine - it still reeks of Oregon mud when it gets warm

Two things: If its that muddy, bring rally or snow tires. Also, don't forget to also install the FRONT mudflaps :).

definitely a great school/weekend event. you'll have a good time.

Paul is good people, so are all of his instructors...seasoned rallyists that know their stuff. I really want to take his advanced class, but you need to have a rally prepped car.

LOL classic!

BlueRu, you might get drier, less muddy conditions going at the time of year you are going. Although it is the Pacific Northwest so you never can count on dry conditions!

No worries! I think that I can stay out of a ditch ok, and the other driver (we are sharing our car because we both own it) should have no problems either.

Sadly it looks like we wont be able to go to shool. Money kinda fell out. Good news is that I may be going to Antioch though! so we shall see when it gets a bit closer and I may be asking for directions out the anus.

Bummer about the school. you do learn a lot so id definitely recommend going, but just getting out there and driving is education in itself. If you can make it to Antioch, be sure to let us know, theres going to be few DI memebers there, myself included.

And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals and fruit bats and large chu..."

directions in use of the holy hand granade.

first you must pull out the holy pin. then you must count to three, three shall be the number of the counting, and the number thou shalt count shall be three. four thou shalt not count, nor shall thou count to two, unless of corse you proceed to three. then you must lobest thou holy hand granade toward thy foe, blowing him to tiny bits in thy mercy.
