I can suggest what I have on my Rex. I have the Blitz Nur Spec exhust. With the damper in it isn't really loud, more of a low rumble. It is like 3" di.

Depends on what you want to spend, and what kind of look you want. Do you want a melon shooter? Or something that looks stock? If you want a stockish looking exhaust that is not to loud you can look into getting a STi catback. Its a true 2.5" catback and the STi muffler will give you a little bit of a rumble. You can pick them up dirt cheap too. If you want something a little louder, you can look at the 2.5" Borla catback, SPT catback, TurboXS or Prodrive axleback.... MANY options out there!

Yeah there are lots of options. I have an exhaust that is hard to find now these days so i dont recommend it to people (Vishnu 3" TBE catless). I really like the Cobb TBE, and if you like a dual tip, Stromung looks really nice.

Again its personal preference, i dont dig the sideways melonshooter muffler, so i tend to get ones that stay tucked up tight and high.

<~~~~doin' just a magnaflow muffler next week. looks exactly like stock muffler, only it'll be painted flat black and tucked right up where stock muff is. not goin' for performance, just wanna capitalize on that good ol' boxer rumble.

Any recommendations for sleeper exhausts? Looking for something that is as silent as possible with decent flow.

What Kind of car? RS, WRx, STi?

The RS you can run a STi catback.
The WRX you can run a downpipe mated to the stock mid pipe and a STi axle back
The STi you just need a downpipe.

Apex'i world sport NOIR I belive I am the only one in the country running this exhaust, so far no one else has come forward. Of course this video is on an STi but you can get and idea of what the catback sounds like.
