Hello everybody! I know I've been away for a while, but I'm BACK IN ACTION!

Starting on May 17, ThunderCross will be holding monthly Rally-X events at Thunderhill Raceway!!!

Here's an example of what the course is going to be like. It's a little different than last year, but about the same length... LONG! .9 miles, 30 turns, 2:00+ lap (at least for me:) )

You will be able to find excellent info on the event at www.Thunder-Cross.com, but not quite yet :( I'll have the rally-portion of the site up and running VERY soon!

BIG NEWS! (for those of you who don't already know) The first event, 5/17, will be an FRX points event! those of you in championship contention won't want to miss this one! The event will be open to participants who are competing for FRX points, and those who just want to RALLY!

A few have asked if I'm doing a series again... The answer is no. Although, if someone wants to volunteer to keep points.. I'd be HAPPY to try and drum up some prizes at the end of the season. This is up to you guys.

Classification will be the same as last year, and the same as FRX. We'll have 2WD and 4WD versions of Street, Street Mod, and Rally. A twist that you won't find in regular FRX stuff is that we are incorporating some new classes... Trucks/SUV's have a class now, as well as ATV's and Dirtbikes. (I'm holding off on the dirtbikes for the FRX event... it'll be all cars).

Registration will be through email. Please send me an email with the following information:
(per driver, multiple driver cars okay, just specify driver 1 & 2)

Full Name
Car make, model, and color
Car Number (will need to be displayed during the event)
Class (will need to be displayed during the event)

If you're unsure of what class you'll be in, email me a list of your modifications, or give me a call and we'll figure it out.

Tech should be NO problem for anyone... All items must be stock or better.

Battery tiedown
Seat/Belt
Rollover Protection (for open top cars... if you're that silly...)
All Lugnuts Present

Of course, all other items are subject to the discretion of the safety chairman.

Gates will open at 7:00AM
Drivers meeting at 8:00AM
On-Track by 8:30AM

The rest of the schedule will have to be figured out closer to race-day... it depends on how many people are coming.

Monthly rallyX events??? SWEEEET!!!

That's great that you're encouraging trucks and other multi-wheeled vehicles! (if you're insurance allows it, go for it!!) Since FRX doesn't have specific classes for trucks, we'll just put them in their respective 2WD class for points, but since I haven't seen any other trucks so far this year, I don't think they'll care, haha!

on another note....my car is officially in the shop for a while. I'm not saying anything about it until I know exactly what's going on (new engine issues, so don't ask), but in the meantime, I want my FRX points....is anyone willing to let me drive their SM4 legal car at this event? Please talk to Pedro or Louie for references...I won't trash your car :)

Hey Guys! The event's tomorrow! I've only got 16 people on the list... it's going to be dismal if that's the case, but hey... LOTS of runtime!

Here's some helpful hints for the weekend.

There'll be no late arrivals allowed. Mandatory drivers meeting will be at 8:00.

Don't worry about standing around all day and then running in the last group, all classes will have a morning session and an afternoon session (this breaks up the day to keep people more interested, and for ALL the cars to experience the way the course changes throughout the day).

VERY IMPORTANT! BRING SUPER-SPF SUNSCREEN AND LOTS OF WATER! We'll have 1 easy-up setup and if you bring your own, we can provide cinder-blocks if it gets windy.

Hey guys! the next event is going to be June 7th and 8th. I'm only running sunday if I get enough pre-registrants. Entry fee will be $50 and as usual, you'll all probably get 6 runs. If the event's packed you'll get 4, but it'll still be great. Brent and others have offered to keep some season standings going, so we might have a little series. I'm sure that would add to the coolness!

Now, on a more serious note. The event has got to have more participation to stay going. The FRX event was a GREAT time. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I think everyone there did too. Unfortunately, 21 people is NOT a very good event. The 4 people we had the day after was barely worth mentioning. Again, I had a GREAT time doing this event, but as business goes it won't cut it. I'm working hard for this event not to go away entirely, so if it doesn't go well over the next few regularly scheduled events we might be changing things drastically.

Please! Let me know if you are coming up for the 7th and 8th! tell your friends! we'll be allowing everyone from stock, modified, and rally 2wd/4wd as well as trucks/suv's and dirtbikes/atv's!

just some feedback Geoff, you might want to post your dates at least a month in advance. not sure of your schedule and if you can actually do that, but I know it would help with planning a full weekend day (or full weekend like last time)

^^ the reason you can't find dates is because we cancelled the series due to lack of interest. We ARE however holding another FRX points event on the 23rd of this month.

FRX TH2 will be held on 8/23, with a non-points super-duper fun event on sunday the 24th.

PLEASE ATTEND!!! TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!! BRING YOUR MOM AND LET HER RUN YOUR CAR!!!
