If Crazy Leo can title a post here, "Football, Soccer & Basketball", I can contribute rally golf.
Last one back to the clubhouse is buying!

Dang golf cart trails are too narrow so we made a shortcut thru tree and mowed over post.

Head on down to your local country club, bring your own 'golfcart' and wack some balls around.

But wasn't that on the press stage day (Thursday), not Friday? We ran the press stage too, actually we were a car or 2 behind you when you offed..
That was quite the line Eric wound up taking. Very lucky you guys just grazed the tree.
That press stage was hard on a few cars.. the Mazda, ACPs Evo, and our transmission took a dump on the last run with the head of the Wasserman media group in the car..We still finished thanks to the DCCD, but we swapped the tranny that night. Hence, why I remember it was Thursday, not Friday.:)
Are you guys heading out to Olympus or OT this year?
Rally On!

The pic w/ the golfers was Friday during the rally, running opposite direction as press stage. The excursion thru the tree was press stage. Eric had a serviceguy in the car, not his codriver. I had riden around during the familarization pass with him and warned him about keeping right over that jump. But when he was approaching during the press stage, the service guy had his foot on my codriver operated windsheild wiper/sprayer floor button and it distracted Eric.

Eric is doing Oregon. I'm sitting out to do Rocky instead.

The full sequence of you guys taking out those posts are great shots. Unfortunatly i can't remember who took them or where to find them.
The thread title had me thinking more along these lines though:

Yeah, me too, I thought it was going to be a VW Golf rallying it up, then I see a mazda... confusion... then I see the background, and it snapped.

that is awesome. there's a golf course in my town right on the edge of a nice twisty road i frequent that they're building condos on (so there's access via car/truck onto the course) every time i drive by, i think about takin' a lil' detour and rippin' up the fairways just to see if i can get away with it....
damn fatherhood/responsibilty thing keeps me from doin' it every time!

Yeah those fence posts were probably not as bad as that HUGE tree. If i didnt know better from the story, that first pic almost looks photoshopped.
Id love to rip around on a golf course. Theyre building a new one by where i live too and even though theres no grass the rolling terrain looks so fun.
