Left ridiculously early, running on no sleep since two nights ago. Totally exhausted and burnt out from the sun but awesome time.

Raced in Mod 4 again and placed 5th out of 13 with one cone hit all day (pretty surprising considering the course) Getting closer and closer to a trophy finish. Im just being limited by the car right now, im maxing it out for what it is, and its doing great, but i need power in second. Once you hit second the tires dig and it gets all squirly, really puts you in bad situations. So once again I ran the course 90% in 1st, and that deff limits my speeds but I still managed to hold my own.

Has some carnage actually from Belmont, the last berm I slammed into while going into the last corner actually bent the f$%k out of my rim. Found out today after my frist lap when there were calls over the radio that my wheel might be falling off. Sure thing it was the tire I had on the drivers front side which slammed that burm in the previous rally. Put it back on and finished the day with the bent wheel. During the rally you cant notice a thing but once on pavement you have a nice wiggle.

Bottom line, car survived and had a good finish, some pics, vids later on. I know Blix666 got something to bring home as well!

Nice! yeah i hear ya about getting footage taken care of. Its hard to balance making repairs to the car vs editing footage of you breaking the car... LOL

I agree with that. I have done alot of autox in Milwaukee and met up with a ton of them already... but only 2 or 3 impreza owners that actually talk to you.. which is really odd from the Impreza Comunity.

Hey I noticed that you've successfully removed the crossbars of your roof rack, looks good. I had thought about doing this myself earlier last week and noticed that the screws for the crossbars turn with whatever is holding them in place on the inside...making them impossible to remove with a screwdriver. Could you please tell me how you acheived this?
Thanks!

when i bought the car they were already off and there was a thule setup in thier place. i removed the thule setup because the roof of the car was highly neglected in terms of washing and had scratches and what not from kayaks. also i wanted so see what the stock crossbars looked like on the car instead of the thule setup, so when i put the oem bars on the car i didn't really torque them down very tightly knowing i might not keep them on. the problem you're having is the inserts that the crossbar nuts screw into are not only circular...but they're not seated while they're in the roof rail. they just sit in there freely. chances are they've never been removed and are in there for the long haul. i'd just drill'em out...carefully. good luck!

Thanks for the info...I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, looks like i'll have to get my drill out sometime soon. I just really can't stand those crossbars, i'll never use them and it's the #1 thing (among a few others) that makes it look like an old woman's grocery-getter instead of the sleek sport compact it really is. I'll post something in the GC section if I figure out an easier way to do this. Thanks again.
