Litchfield are a very popular tuner in the UK...high end...not cheap...check out the Litchfield Range Rover.
There must be a vid online of TopGear where the Litchfield RR, towing a Ford Focus on a trailer, beat a Ford Focus ST...unreal

yes but a regular WRX costs 25K GBP which with the exchange rate is $50K, so no griping!
I sold a MY2000 Impreza Sport (like an RS) in the UK and bought an 04 WRX in the US....for less money!

brilliant

Sounds as though it may start life out as a spec-c? That in it's self makes me drool.

I want to know what turbo they use. 415bhp.....an FP20g can do that, right? (is 'bhp' and 'chp' the same thing? I forget) Kind of the limit of the STI intercooler....and you don't 'really' need cosworth internals for that.

It doesn't say cosworth internals. They just said cosworth made it go fast. My guess would be a cosworth Turbine, cams and valvetrain as well as tuning. <- my bad, read edit below.

Yes, Brake HP is the same as Crank HP. Brake hp is what cars are rated at, Crank HP is what you would measure on a purely engine dyno. Same stuff, different scenario.

The Type−25 short engine:

* New Subaru EJ25 STI engine case
* New Subaru STI forged crankshaft
* Cosworth forged connecting rods
* Cosworth forged pistons
* Cosworth high performance piston rings
* Cosworth race spec, coated tri − metal bearings
* Balanced and professionally assembled
* Optional billet crankshaft

Each engine is given a unique build number and all measurements recorded.

yeah, that's what I thought. Those internal upgrades can take a lot more than 425chp. Nice.
