DirtyImpreza.com – Project Rally RS – Part 1: Clutch

ZB-RB0LM3Lk

Here is episode 1 of the ongoing Project Rally RS. I should have started documenting things on video at the beginning of the project, but its better late than never. A little bit of background on the project, we are building a bone stock 2001 Impreza RS into a Production GT stage rally car. Dave helped me out with the clutch replacement on the RS. It was a huge pita because of rusted and breaking bolts all over the car. That’s what you get when you buy a car from Illinois. Lesson learned I guess.

Stay tuned for Episode 2, coming soon…

Yeah we have bad luck working on my cars. The last two installs we've done, the grinder and welder have come out.

I'd never done a clutch before this. Its great having a buddy like Dave that has done swaps (tranny / motor) many times. We didn't NEED to pull the tranny but we did. Now i know whats involved in removing and replacing one.
