My Rally Armor mud flaps do a fine job. I have put them to good use. Too bad they couldn't get me the white logo. I was excited about that. :(

my rallyarmor flappage has only been on for one rally-x but they did a great job. really rocky terrain, no paint chips! i'm currently in the market for a skidplate so if a group buy comes up...i'm definitely in.

We can definitely arrange something for DirtyImpreza.com members. Please note we are currently on back order for 02-07 WRX skid plates as we are awaiting a resupply of aluminum from our suppliers (sometime this week)
In addition, we have redesigned our web site to include a more robust gallery, as well as the ability for registered users to receive an email notification on when we will be back in stock, and soon to be launched products ;))!
Please visit http://www.rallyarmor.com and select the product you would like to receive notifications on.
Thanks again for everyones continued support.

I would be down for a group buy or something, I am in dire need of a new skidplate as I utterly obliterated my plastic "undertray".

The RA skidplate is a very nice piece, however after talking to a buddy of mine that runs stage rally events, the mounting points of all the off the shelf skidplates is inadequate for some serious impacts.
Most of them mount directly under the radiator support which is flimsy and will crush under a direct hit. He has on his PGT RS a sort of "secondary subframe" that is welded in to reinforce the skidplate, i dont think i took any pics of it (doh!) but just to keep in mind kids... the skidplate will help, but is only as stong as the supporting beams its mounted to!

1 more reason to learn to weld.
sebhockey....you reading this thread? does your shop have welding equipment? when we get it on the lift this weekend I want to investigate this issue.

Jon, the idea was very simple and easily engineered. He basically took some steel tubing and welded some triangular supports from the sides of the engine bay, then connected it across with the metal tubing. The skidplate in the front was mounted to this, where it would hang basically at the same height if it were bolted into the radiator support.

Ya, the shop has welders there. It has absolutely anything and everything you would need. From basic tools to torque wrenches, pnuematics, lifts, jacks, jack stands, tranny jacks. tire mounter and balancer, forks etc.

Yes, and so does SK2. What exactly are you planning to do? Cause If it's structural it might be better to get SK2 to weld it since I haven't welded much in the last couple years, so I'm a bit rusty. He often times jumps in and lends a hand on stuff since he doesn't have much to do there, so it's likely we can get him to.

oh, I don't expect to do anything this saturday....but eventually either need someone to teach me, and I need something to practice on (ie my car, haha) or I need to take a class somewhere.
