Bought the car new in December of 2004, and for the first two years I really didn't do a whole lot to the car. Just drove it and enjoyed what a nice car a Subie makes in stock form. My first mods started in December of 06 when I found out there was RallyCross in MI. I would like to thank my good friend Jeff and his father for always letting me use their shop, Finish Line Automotive.

The day I picked her up from the dealership...so new....so clean

First mod back in 2005, ebay twin tip muffler - sounded awesome for about a year then got LOUD

My real mod-addiction began with the installation of a RallyArmor skid plate and an OEM diff protector, and yes having access to a lift is the greatest thing in the world :)

Shortly there after I decided I needed some more lights - a quick call to www.rallylights.com and a day of wrenching and I now can make nighttime as bright as the afternoon sun

I figured like any good ricer I should upgrade the stock intake, because of course I can design something better than the Subaru engineers. So more garage time and this was born...at the same time I also threw on the strut bars front and rear.

However this past weekend I swapped the stock airbox back in, much much better low end torque now

Next on the mod list was some more protection for the car...big gaudy mudflaps, at first I ran blue in the front and red in the back, once again I purchased these parts at www.rallylights.com. I just recently added blue flaps out back...looks a lot nicer IMHO

yeah they're blue under there :)

I figured I'd give the old glasspack style muffler a try, had a local shop weld up an axle back with an 18" long muffler. It sounded cool, however they did a less than stellar job installing it so with the help of a couple friends we moved it up and back to make it fit under the car a little nicer. Looks good, sounds good, rally tough for 35 bucks. Cant see it too well in this picture, but you get the idea...I used the stock tip on it as well, hit the whole thing with flat black engine paint.

The next big mod was installing a Corbeau Forza fixed back racing seat, thanks to Paul at www.teamilluminata.com for the seat. Its very comfortable, and supportive. Installation was pretty easy, again had the help of some friends :) I also installed a Sparco 3pt harness, which is pictured, however I have since removed it and will be installing a Schroth Rallye 4 in the near future.

I also have a set of OEM Subaru steelies with Michelin gravel tires for RallyCross

I second that I want a set of them but not to fond of French Tires... after they screwed 2/3 of the field a few years ago for the USGP in Indiana... I was there when it happened. so who ever had Bridgestones ran the rest of the race.

The evolution continues, Corbeau Forza seat out...stock seat in....I also installed a Schroth Rallye 4 harness when I put the stock seat back in. This combination is comfortable, and supportive.
