Hi there,

I'm new to the SoCal Area, and i just bought the car of my dreams. I've finally purchased a rally blue scooby, and now am looking forward to driving it around in the dirt :)

I just stumbled across the site, and am looking forward to meeting other scooby owners and attending events.

The name is Justin, and you can find me zooming around the Carlsbad area.

I might be able to make it up there, its quite a drive, but i guess its worth it. As i said earlier though, i've never even gone offroading yet, so i dont wanna look like a complete n00b on the tracks quite yet lol.

Youll find that most of the events are somewhat of a drive to get there. Glen Helen (the one mentioned above by subyspawn) is probably the closest rallycross event these days. However many people will usually caravan up there if they are coming from the same area.

Its a bummer that the Delmar venue is gone.

Are there any other meetups or events down near the san diego area? Or tracks that i can go practice on? tarmac or dirt.

There are plenty of Autocross events at Qualcomm stadium but as far as rally is concerned, i dont know of anything that is organized down there...
